Osteopathy is an approach to studying the human body that considers the relationship between structure, function, mobility, self-regulation and the integration of the body's systems. Its field of knowledge includes biomechanical foundations, musculoskeletal assessment, structural, visceral and cranial osteopathy, manual therapy, clinical reasoning and a whole-person understanding of the patient.
This programme was developed for health professionals and advanced students who wish to deepen their knowledge of osteopathy and integrate new resources of assessment, body understanding and therapeutic reasoning into their professional path. It is delivered 100% online by Manual Therapy Europe, with theory classes, technical demonstrations, support materials and a progressive organisation of the content — you can study at your own pace and review the modules whenever you need.
For students who wish to complement their learning with in-person practice, optional workshops may be held separately by Dr. Joe Rosário, with their own registration, terms and payment on an independent page. The programme reflects Dr. Joe Rosário's clinical and teaching experience and offers a structured approach that combines classical osteopathic foundations, scientific updating, clinical reasoning and integration with responsible professional practice.
Optional practical workshops are independently organised in Portugal (joerosario.pt) — a separate business from Manual Therapy Europe. Registration, payment, invoicing and refunds are handled separately, and participation is not required to complete the online programme.
Prior training in a health field is recommended, with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, musculoskeletal assessment and clinical reasoning. Candidates without prior health training may require a longer educational pathway with additional foundational modules, subject to assessment. Enrolment and the future use of the knowledge must respect the legislation, professional scope and rules applicable in the learner's country, state, province, association or competent body.
On completing the programme, the learner receives a Certificate of Completion issued in partnership with Manual Therapy Academy (Canada), corresponding to 4,465h of education. The certificate confirms the completion of an online educational programme and does not, by itself, constitute a clinical licence, an authorisation to practise, automatic recognition by regulatory bodies, or the right to use a protected professional title. Osteopathy and the use of certain professional titles are regulated differently from one country, state or province to the next; it is the learner's responsibility to verify the requirements applicable where they intend to study, practise or seek professional recognition. The techniques and concepts presented require study, responsible training, supervised practice where applicable, and use only within each learner's lawful professional scope.
If the programme is not for you, request a refund within 14 days (EU) or 7 days (Brazil), in line with your local consumer law. No paperwork, no awkward questions.
In this jurisdiction, the therapies taught in this programme are reserved for licensed healthcare professionals. Enrolment is restricted to applicants who can demonstrate valid professional registration. This programme does not grant clinical licensure on its own.
